Did you know? - Manual therapy is part of the rehabilitative framework most. It involves five general steps after someone sustains an injury.
REHABILITATIVE FRAMEWORK
1. Protect - (ex. soft cast or boot)
2. Normalize Symptoms - (Touch therapies like Massage)
3. Restore Flexibility - (get tissues mobile again with specialized touch techniques like Manual Tractions, Trigger Point Therapy, etc)
4. Strengthen - (some form of exercise to restore the strength needed to restore full function)
5. Performance - (restoring function with various forms of neuromuscular reeducation)

We specialize in steps 2 - 3 , Manual Therapy, art of restoring pain free MOBILITY in tissues and joints. So we can greatly complement your care with a Physical Therapist, but we are NOT physical therapists. That said, most people find seeing us and using the exercises they previously received from a Physical Therapist is a combinations that gets them where they need to be, back doing what they love to do without falling apart afterward.
